2024-2025 Scholarship Recipients 



Abigail Yook

Abigail Yook is the winner of the $4,000 Helen H. Johns Memorial STEAM Scholarship.

She will graduate from Flower Mound High School and will be attending University of Texas at Austin to study Public Health. Abigail has been involved in multiple organizations including Girl Scouts, Key Club and Interact Club. She has held positions of leadership and is a National Merit and AP Scholar. Abigail is an active member of her community as a Girl Scout and Engineering Design Tutor, spearheading several programs along the way. She is passionate about supporting young women in their academics, especially STEAM disciplines.  In her free time, Abigail enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.



Thomas Faulkner

Thomas Faulkner is the winner of the $3,000 Engineering Scholarship sponsored by Dillengr, Inc.

As a Marcus Mound High School graduate, he plans to attend University of Texas at Austin to study Aerospace Engineering with a goal to work on the exploration and colonization of Mars. Thomas is passionate about engineering, in 5th grade he spoke at TEDx about his dream of living on Mars and future technologies he envisioned!  During his time at Marcus, Thomas has been involved in several organizations, most notably the NASA High School Aerospace Scholars program, where he won the Moonshot and was awarded a 4-day experience at Johnson Space Center. He is active in his community and has been recognized for his work with “Thomas GIves Back” to support school personnel as well as police and firefighters.  In his free time, Thomas loves to watch BattleBots and go out with his family to try new restaurants and boba places.



Kylie Turbeville

Kylie Tuberville is a winner of the $3,000 Women of Flower Mound General Scholarship.

After graduating from Marcus High School, Kylie plans to complete her bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education with a concentration in Family and Consumer Science at the University of Arkansas.  She has been involved in several organizations, including serving as President of Texas Association of Future Educators and National Technical Honor Society, as well as Treasurer on the Student Council. Kylie has earned multiple awards, including Certificates of Achievement for outstanding performance and success in Lifetime Nutrition & Wellness, Voces Novae Treble Choir, and Counseling and Mental Health. She is an active member of her community and volunteers her time at Broken Halos Haven and Flower Mound Public Library.  Kylie has been an avid crafter since her grandmother taught her to quilt, she recently won three first-place ribbons for a Minecraft-inspired quilt!


Kris Podsiadlo

Kris Podsiadlo is a winner of the $3,000 Women of Flower Mound General Scholarship.

He will graduate from Marcus High School and will be attending University of Texas at Austin to study Economics, with the long term goal of becoming an attorney. Kris has been very active in Lewisville/Flower Mound Teen Court, working his way up from Observer to Attorney.  As a member of the Swim and Water Polo teams, he has won several awards including the 200 Free Relay Record Breaker three years in a row!  Besides swimming competitively and volunteering in courtrooms, Kris enjoys reading legal thrillers, spending time outdoors and working on cars.



Logan Simback

Logan Simback is the winner of the first ever $1,000 Women of Flower Mound Trade Scholarship! 

After graduating from Marcus High School, Logan will attend Northwest Lineman College where he will receive comprehensive training in power delivery systems, with an emphasis on safety, technical proficiency, and teamwork. After completing his training, his goal is to work for a local utility company to help provide reliable power distribution to the community. Logan was an active member of the Marcus Clay Target team, as well as a volunteer with Feed the Starving Children, Ally's Wish, and LovePacs. When he’s not busy working, he enjoys clay target shooting, camping, and working on vehicles.

Jumi graduated from Marcus High School and is attending Texas A&M to study Informatics.

Lauren is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and is attending Texas A&M to study Biomedical Engineering.


Andrew Brooks

Andrew graduated from Founders Classical Academy Lewisville and is attending West Texas A&M. 



Seher Hasan

Seher Hasan is a graduate of Marcus High School and will be attending University of Texas at Dallas. She plans to study Neuroscience with the goal of becoming a physician. 


Alexa Redin

Alexa is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and is attending Colorado State University to study Equine/Animal Science.


Emily Holcombe

Emily is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and plans to major in Mechanical Engineering on the STEM to MBA track at the University of Alabama.





Namrata Kondala

Andrew graduated from Founders Classical Academy Lewisville and is attending West Texas A&M. 

Zoe Piazza

Zoe is a graduate of Marcus High School and is attending Sam Houston State University. She majors in Forensic Chemistry and minors in Criminal Justice.

Lauren Holmes

Lauren graduated from Flower Mound High School and is attending Texas A&M to study Science.




Katie Eddington

Katie graduated from Flower Mound High School and will major in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M with the goal of becoming a family doctor or dentist.

Megan Eddington

Megan is a graduate of Flower Mound High School. She is attending Texas A&M University (WHOOP) and majoring in Civil Engineering.

Natalie Yook

Natalie graduated from Flower Mound High School and is attending the University of Texas-Austin in the fall. 


Sadie Larson

Sadie Larson graduated from Flower Mound High School, Sadie will be attending Brigham Young University to study Molecular Biology.


Adam Yook

Adam is a graduate of Flower Mound High School. He attends Duke University and is double majoring in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering.


Jacquelyn Anderson

Jacquelyn is a graduate of Founder's Classical Academy. She currently attends NCTC. 



Rian Martin

Rian is a graduate of Marcus High School. She is attending Texas Woman's University and majoring in Social Work.


Mia Hoang

Mia graduated from Flower Mound High School and will be attending Texas A&M in the fall.  She plans to major in Accounting 


Nicholas Julien

Nicholas graduated from Marcus High School and will be attending the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.
