2022-2023 Scholarship Recipients 



Jumi Park is the winner of the $4,000 Helen H. Johns Memorial STEAM Scholarship. She graduated from Marcus High School and will be attending Texas A&M to study Informatics, with the intention of making her way from UI/UX Designer up to Product Manager +. Jumi has been involved in multiple organizations including DECA, UNICEF, and TSA for Graphic Design. She has held positions of leadership such as VP of UNICEF, and won multiple awards for DECA. Jumi is an active member of her community as a VBS leader and AWANA teacher. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball and reading.

Lauren Gates is the winner of the $3,000 Engineering Scholarship sponsored by Dillengr, Inc. She is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and will be attending Texas A&M to study Biomedical Engineering. Her long term goal is to improve lives through her work with medical devices as a Biomaterials Engineer or Rehabilitation Engineer. During her time at FMHS, Lauren has held various positions of leadership on the FMHS Rosettes Drill team, and won multiple awards including Academic Award for Honors Chemistry. She has been an active member of the National Charity League and volunteered with organizations across Flower Mound. Lauren enjoys reading and spending time with her friends and family dancing, watching movies or simply enjoying the sunset.



Sadie Larson is a winner of the $3,000 Women of Flower Mound General Scholarship. After graduating from Flower Mound High School, Sadie will be attending Brigham Young University to study Molecular Biology. Her long term goal is to attend medical school and join Doctors without Borders. As a cellist, Sadie has earned awards in Solo and Ensemble competition, and MVP in the Philharmonic orchestra. A National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction, she has also placed for the Academic Decathalon team. Sadie volunteers her musical talents for local churches and Music Heals at senior living centers. In her free time, she expands her cooking skills, baking bread and exploring new cuisines. Sadie is an avid road-tripper and plans to visit her last three states of the continental U.S. this summer!

Seher Hasan is a winner of the $3,000 Women of Flower Mound General Scholarship.  She is a graduate of Marcus High School and will be attending University of Texas at Dallas. She plans to study Neuroscience with the goal of becoming a physician. Seher held several positions of leadership at FMHS, including President of UNICEF and M.E.D.S and Parliamentarian for the National Honor Society. She is a DECA medal recipient and received a Global Competence Certificate for Social Impact from the UPenn Center for Social Impact. As an active member of her community, Seher has volunteered at UTSW Medical School as a research intern, AFS Global STEM Accelerators, and several organizations in Flower Mound. In her free time, Seher enjoys journaling, going on nature walks, baking and learning photography.

Alexa is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and will be attending Colorado State University to study Equine/Animal Science.


Emily Holcombe

Emily is a graduate of Flower Mound High School and plans to major in Mechanical Engineering on the STEM to MBA track at the University of Alabama.


Namrata Kondala

Andrew graduated from Founders Classical Academy Lewisville and is planning to attend West Texas A&M. 





Zoe Piazza

Zoe is a graduate of Marcus High School and will be attending Sam Houston State University. She plans to major in Forensic Chemistry and minor in Criminal Justice.

Lauren Holmes

Lauren graduated from Flower Mound High School and is attending Texas A&M to study Science.

Katie Eddington

Katie graduated from Flower Mound High School and will major in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M with the goal of becoming a family doctor or dentist.




Megan Eddington

Megan is a graduate of Flower Mound High School. She is attending Texas A&M University (WHOOP) and majoring in Civil Engineering.

Natalie Yook

Natalie graduated from Flower Mound High School and will be attending the University of Texas-Austin in the fall.

Andrew graduated from Founders Classical Academy Lewisville and is planning to attend West Texas A&M. 





Adam Yook

Adam is a graduate of Flower Mound High School. He attends Duke University and is double majoring in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering.

Jacquelyn Anderson

Jacquelyn is a graduate of Founder's Classical Academy. She currently attends NCTC. 

Rian Martin

Rian is a graduate of Marcus High School. She is attending Texas Woman's University and majoring in Social Work.




Mia Hoang

Mia graduated from Flower Mound High School and will be attending Texas A&M in the fall.  She plans to major in Accounting 

Nicholas Julien

Nicholas graduated from Marcus High School and will be attending the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.
